View-Based Object Matching

چکیده
W e introduce a novel view-based object representation, called the saliency map graph (SMG), which captures the salient regions of an object view at multiple scales using a wavelet transform. This compact representation is highly invariant to translation, rotation (image and depth), and scaling, and offers the locality of representation required for occluded object recognition. To compare two saliency map graphs, we introduce two graph similarity algorithms. The first computes the topological similarity between two SMG’s, providing a coarse-level matching of two graphs. The second computes the geometrical similarity between two SMG’s, providing a fine-level matching of two graphs, W e test and compare these two algorithms on a large database of model object views.

View Sphere Partitioning via Flux Graphs Boosts Recognition from Sparse Views
View-based 3D object recognition requires a selection of model object views against which to match a query view. Ideally, for this to be computationally efficient, such a selection should be sparse. To address this problem, we partition the view sphere into regions within which the silhouette of a model object is qualitatively unchanged. This is accomplished using a flux-based skeletal represen...

Spatial data, which is one of the main needs of human societies from business organizations to the general users today, cannot meet the needs of a wide range of users without changing the structure of conventional methods of data registration and updating on a metropolitan scale. Open Street Map, as one of the most successful implementations of the crowdsourcing approach to spatial data with th...
متن کاملInvestigating the Relationship between Object Relations Patterns and Somatization Symptoms Mediated by Alexithymia (A model Based on Bion's Point of View): A Descriptive Study
Background and Objectives: One of the most common problems in the general population is somatization symptoms. Therefore, identifying the factors that play a role in causing these symptoms will be effective in preventing their occurrence. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the relationship between object relations patterns and somatization symptoms mediated by alexithymia. Materials and ...
متن کاملScale Saliency: Applications in Visual Matching, Tracking and View-Based Object Recognition
In this paper, we introduce a novel technique for image matching and feature-based tracking. The technique is based on the idea of using the Scale-Saliency algorithm to pick a sparse number of ‘interesting’ or ‘salient’ features. Feature vectors for each of the salient regions are generated and used in the matching process. Due to the nature of the sparse representation of feature vectors gener...
متن کاملView-Invariant Object Detection by Matching 3D Contours
We propose an approach for view-invariant object detection directly in 3D with following properties: (i) The detection is based on matching of 3D contours to 3D object models. (ii) The matching is constrained with qualitative spatial relations such as above/below, left/right, and front/back. (iii) In order to ensure that any matching solution satisfies these constraints, we formulate the matchi...
